Stacy Hawkins Adams is a nationally
acclaimed author, speaker and freelance journalist whose
novels help readers laugh, heal and seek to lead more
meaningful lives. Her contemporary women's fiction
infuses faith, social issues and personal themes with

A former reporter and columnist for the
Richmond Times-Dispatch, Stacy now freelances for a variety
of mainstream and faith-based publications. Her work has
appeared in the AARP Bulletin, Gospel Today and Heart & Soul
magazines, and on www.Crosswalk.com. She publishes a
nationally-distributed electronic newsletter called Life
Untapped™ that highlights inspirational fiction and
nonfiction authors and writing industry news each month. She
also pens an online parenting column for Virginia Governor
Tim Kaine's Smart Beginnings initiative and writes Life
Notes, a bi-monthly newspaper column for busy mothers.
Stacy regularly appears on national and
local radio programs to discuss the themes of
self-acceptance, forgiveness and unconditional love that
provide the foundation for her novels. Her journalistic work
has allowed her to serve as an occasional broadcast
reporter, and she has been a featured guest on the Montel
Williams Show.
She holds an undergraduate degree in
journalism and continues to hone her writing skills through
various journalistic and creative writing seminars,
including the Nieman Conference on Narrative Journalism at
Harvard University. She is the founding president of the
Richmond affiliate of the American Christian Fiction
Writers.
Stacy is also an inspirational speaker who
shares with corporate, civic, college and faith-based
audiences messages designed to help them pursue their life's
purpose with more faith and confidence.
When she's not writing or speaking, she
devotes considerable time to promoting youth literacy and
other child advocacy endeavors. A native of Arkansas,
Stacy and her husband live in suburban Richmond, Virginia
with their two children. She recently completed a fourth
novel, which is slated for release in early 2009.
